HOW TO MAKE BARISTA & SONS WORK FOR YOU.
Barista & Sons can provide you with the flexibility you need, wether you are a student or a struggling actor or musician. You can use Barista & Sons to help you find great jobs that fit into your lifestyle.
Here are some helpful hints…
Add a photo
By adding a photo you are pushing your profile higher up the Barista & Sons search results. Cafes are as curious as cats, so knowing what to expect is definitely a bonus. It would be almost impossible to sell something online without posting a picture of it.
Update your availability
Update your availability at least once a week, even more often if you need to. Your availability updates let us know when you are wishing to make some sweet extra cash.
Add References to your Profile.
Cafes often want to confirm your details with a third party: the idea is to make it easy for a café to choose you from a list of other baristas.
Be Professional
Not only will this mean repeat business and loyal clients but you will be able to charge more money if you are a pleasure to deal with. This means being reliable, and following through with commitments. If you must break a commitment do so with sufficient notice ( a minimum of 3 days).
Ensure you are well groomed and always adopt the basics of good manners: for example use ‘please’ and ‘thank-you’.
A HACKER'S GUIDE- APPEARING PROFESSIONAL

2. Pay attention
3. Answer the questions being asked and avoid waffling on
4. Be interested in what someone is saying
5. Let the speaker finish talking
6. Stay focused
7. Clarify any questions
8. Go easy on the gossip
WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
First let me answer the above question, it’s all about money. The reason you are hired is to provide a product that people are paying for.
Now my aim is not to turn you into a money hungry pig, instead I just want to shine some light on one of the motivations café owners go into business.
The barista’s role is to provide beverages, hot and cold in a quick and efficient manner. You should concentrate your energies on delivering on the customer’s order as best you can. Doing this will go leaps and bounds in justifying your hourly rate, and even increase your asking rate. If you are thinking of increasing your hourly rate there is a similar expectation that you will make more money for the café.
