HOW DO I JOIN?
It's FREE and easy! To sign up simply complete an online profile, which includes your email address and a few easy questions.

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET A BARISTA? 

$50 ex gst per day

$300 ex gst to keep 'em 

It is company policy that we must receive all payment 48 hours prior to  the commencement of a job. We strongly prefer Visa and Mastercard however EFT is available. 

 

HOW ARE BARISTAS CHOSEN FOR THE SITE?
To offer you a quality selection of available staff, all our baristas are individually screened and assessed before joining the directory. We conduct an over the phone interview and check references and then invite them to be assessed.  What this means for you is that you is that you save time and money because we don't send out time wasters!

 

 DO YOU HAVE CANCELLATION FEES?

Yes we do and they are. 

Within 48 hours-  50% of the  total payment will be deducted from your credit  card

Within 24 hours-  100% of the total payment 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BARISTA DOES A NO SHOW?

On the rarest of occasions if this happens Barista & Sons will refund the placement fee in full.

 

CAN I LEAVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE BARISTAS?
You can express your satisfaction with your barista with us via email. We encourage that you send your Barista review to feedback@baristaandsons.com.au It will go into the barista's file . 

 

CAN I NEGOTIATE ON THE BARISTA'S EXPECTED RATE?
Of course do your research and crunch the numbers and offer a rate that is a win-win for you both. A Gun Barista will be able to handle anything you throw at them. They can bring customers and create loyalty, generally the expected hourly rate for such a person is $20-$25.

 

DO I PAY THE BARISTA DIRECTLY?
Yes, we operate as an agency; however for your back pocket we do not bill like them you pay the barista directly.

 

DOES BARISTA & SONS TRAIN THEIR BARISTAS?
Barista & Sons holds barista assessments in Sydney everyday of the week. Baristas are tested on things like skills, speed and customer service. We train baristas to ensure you receive a barista that you'll enjoy to have around and that your customers will like.

HOW DO I JOIN?
It's easy and FREE! To SIGN UP complete an online profile, which includes your experience and contact details. Barista & Sons will then contact you to conduct a brief telephone interview before inviting you to an assessment. Once your profile is active, you can log in to add in your references and work availability.

ONCE I HAVE REGISTERED HOW DO I GET WORK?
All you need to do is update your availability, it is the quickest way to let us know you want some work. Then chill and we will call you to offer you work.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I UPDATE MY AVAILABILITY?
Weekly is ideal.

DO I NEED TO COME IN FOR AN ASSESSMENT?

Yes, we need to know where your skills are at and find out where you want to work so that you are happy at the places we send you. 

HOW CAN I UPDATE MY PROFILE?
Once logged in you can adjust details in your profile including your ratings, experience, references, photo, contact details and password.

HOW CAN I GET MORE JOBS?
Work to the cafes expectations and you will have them happy and us happy which means more work for you.

DOES BARISTA & SONS OFFER TRAINING?
Barista & Sons does offer training however it is so that you can get a job or a better paying job. We charge $100 for a session but you'll hopefully recoup those costs when you get a jobby job.

I AM A BARISTA WITH CRAZY SKILLS, HOW MUCH CAN I CHARGE?
Whatever you like, ask a couple of leading questions like how busy are you? And 'what do you expect from me?' Do the maths and negotiate with confidence based on facts.

WHEN WILL THE SWEET JOBS START ROLLING IN?
Make sure your profile is appealing to the members, usually the members love hearing about your previous work experience.

DO I NEED TO GIVE MY MOBILE NUMBER?
Yes, this is how we will contact you.
