HOW IT ALL BEGAN
After years of jostling and fighting his way to the upper levels of barista work in Sydney Ivan decided to take a week off. Twisting the top off a beer he reclined back into his favourite $500 chair (which his wife is still angry at him for buying). He looked at the beer and reminisced back at what had been a stellar couple of years of coffee making. He remembered the good lattes as well as the bad ones the sweet coffees and the bitter ones the successful latte art and the failed ones. A tear began to roll down his strong and masculine cheek. A cheek that covered well the deep emotional scars that years of espresso making left. He took a swig of the beer and laughed in a Chairman Kaga from the Iron Chef kind of way and slouched back into his very expensive chair. He gazed out the window into the baron oasis and wondered, What will become of this land so hungry for baristas? The people want baristas and they want them now! he shouted from the balcony of his tiny one bedroom apartment. Suddenly as if on cue a massive thunderstorm began. Thunder strike after thunder strike pounded the balcony of the tiny one bedroom apartment. The charred remains on the balcony spelt Barista & Sons.
